Template Tips

Thanks for purchasing a Wildcat Template. This page will offer tips on how to edit your template in Adobe Photoshop CS5 for Windows.

EDITING TEXT
Click on the Horizontal Text tool.
In the Layer Pallette, click on the layer containing the text you want to edit.  The "F7" key turns on/off the Layer Pallette.  When you click on the layer, it will turn blue indicating that the layer is active.  Highlight the text and type the text you prefer.
In the Character Pallette (Windows>Character), change the font, change the color, change the size.

CHANGING COLORS
There are many ways to change the color of an object in Photoshop.  We'll show one easy way here.  In the Layer Pallette, double click on the layer containing the object(s) whose color you want to change. The "F7" key turns on/off the Layer Pallette. When you double click on the layer, it will turn blue indicating that the layer is active and the Layer Style window will open.
In the Layer Style window, click on the Color Overlay option to select it.
To select a new color for the objects on the selected layer, click on the colored box next to Blend Mode to open the Select Overlay Color window.
Here you can enter CMYK, RGB, HEX, values to exactly match the color you prefer.  If you don't know any of the values or you would just like to experiment, go ahead and click on the color slider and try different colors until you find the color you like.  As you choose new colors, you'll see the object change colors below the window.
Then click the OK button to close the windows and you'll see that the object's color has changed to your chosen color. Notice that in some templates the color of the text (Studio Name, Website, and Marketing Tag Line) sometimes matches the colors of the objects.  You may want to keep the cooresponding colors so don't forget to change the color of the text.

Enjoy designing!
